The Leave No Trace ethic, the outdoor ethic!

Founded in the United States in 1994, the non-profit organisation Leave No Trace aims to minimize, if not render non-existent, the impact of outdoors amateurs on the environment. To accomplish this, it is dedicated to the promotion of responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. The basic principles were established by qualified scientists and biologists who were also, of course, in love with the outdoors. Today, the organization possesses an acute expertise and a worldwide recognition.
The seven principles of Leave No Trace are:


Motivated by a respect for the environment and a desire to not modify the ecosystem of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, the Vert-et-Mer team has adopted the Leave No Trace ethic as basics for all of its activities. The two founders of the enterprise are in fact certified Leave No Trace educators and are thus fully qualified to teach this practical outdoor ethic. They convey their knowledge during intensive stays in a natural environment. To participate in the next course, consult our calendar!
